- "Molly's curse soared beneath Bellatrix's outstretched arm and hit her squarely in the chest, directly over her heart."
- — Molly using the curse to kill Bellatrix[src]
This curse (incantation unknown) was used by Molly Weasley in the skirmish at the Great Hall which was part of the Battle of Hogwarts. The exact effects of this spell are unknown, but when used with enough force, it was capable of killing the target.[1]
Effects[]
This curse's effects could be fatal if it hit the victim directly or in close proximity to their heart, as was the case with Bellatrix Lestrange, suggesting that it caused some form of internal disruption. However, it might just make the victim fall to the ground like a similar spell used by Bellatrix to kill Sirius Black, as it said Bellatrix toppled to the ground. Bellatrix's frozen smile and bulging eyes may have just been her own erratic facial expressions, rather than be effects of the spell.[1]
Known uses[]
Molly used this curse during the skirmish at the Great Hall on Bellatrix in a fierce duel, which killed her.[1]
