Mobilicorpus (MO-bil-ee-COR-pus (IPA: /mo.ˌbɪl.i.ˈko˞.pɪs/)) is a spell that levitates and moves bodies.
Etymology
The incantation comes from the latin words Mobilis (Latin for movable) and Corpus (Latin for body).
Uses
- Remus Lupin used the spell on Severus Snape in 1994 after he was stunned in the Shrieking Shack
- It was used on Peter Pettigrew by Lord Voldemort in the Little Hangleton graveyard to make him come forward.
- It was the spell that Snape used in 1994 to put Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Sirius Black on stretchers and then move them back to the castle.
- It was used by Lord Voldemort at the Meeting at Malfoy Manor to levitate Charity Burbage along the room.
Behind the scenes
- It is possible that Mobiliarbus and Mobilicorpus are variations of the same basic spell, since they share the Mobili- prefix and both moves objects.
