Mint is a genus of strongly scented herbs.[1] Peppermint is one particular variety of mint.

Mint has healing properties, and is used in wizarding remedies: dried mint leaves are used in the treatment of mad dog bites.[2][3] Mint is also used to flavour certain sweets, such as mint humbugs and after-dinner mints.
