Minerva McGonagall used a walking stick when she left St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, after being hit with four Stunners. When Dolores Umbridge tried to sneak undetected from the Castle, Peeves ran after her whacking her alternatively with the walking stick and a sock full of chalk. McGonagall then expressed her regret that she could not run cheering after Umbridge herself, because Peeves had borrowed her walking stick.^[1]
