A metal charmer is a profession in the wizarding world. Seemingly uncommon, metal charmers were responsible for imbuing metal craft with certain magical properties via charms. Since spells usually disengaged once the caster died, metal charmers worked their metal in such a way where the magic infused in them remained even after post-mortem. Naturally, magical objects like Golden Snitches and Sneakoscopes were made by them.[1]
