Memorandum Rodentium, or rat memos, were used by Magical Congress of the United States of America to send memos to employees. The paperwork would fold itself into a paper rat and scurry through a series of tubes to arrive at the correct office, although the memos would occasionally fight and tear each other to pieces.
Behind the scenes
These were designed as flat artwork by the graphics team, then worked up by the prop department before being finally brought to life by the VFX department, with the memos flying upwards before scurrying off along the piping to deliver themselves, although in one shot, two rats come upon each other and start squabbling.
