A megaphone is used to make a persons voice sound strong and loud, it is usually a Muggle device, but sometimes some megaphones is charmed to work in the wizarding world such as the Magical megaphone used in Hogwarts Quidditch matches and the megaphone used by Filius Flitwick to introduce the Weird Sisters band, also band member Myron Wagtail used the latter megaphone to sing Do The Hippogriff. A megaphone was also placed on Gideon Crumbs keyboard.

In 1993, Minerva McGonagall appeared carrying an enormous purple megaphone prior to the year's Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff Quidditch match and announced that it was canceled.^[1]
