The Medieval Assembly of European Wizards is a European wizarding organisation. It occasionally awards a "Bravery Against Fantastic Beasts Award". Gilderoy Lockhart received such an award. In the 1992–1993 school year at Hogwarts, Professor Cuthbert Binns ordered his Second year students to write a three foot long essay about this organisation.
