The McGonagalls lived in a manse on the outskirts of Caithness, Scotland, in the early twentieth century, after Robert McGonagall and Isobel Ross eloped from their parents who frowned upon the couple.[1]
This manse was where Minerva McGonagall grew up in, along with her younger brothers Malcolm and Robert Jr..[1]
