Poppy Pomfrey

Madam Poppy Pomfrey was the matron at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Hospital Wing. She was working there as of 1971, and stepped down as Matron by 2014[1]

Poppy cared for and healed the wounded and sick at Hogwarts. She was strict but exceptionally kind, as she insisted that anyone in her care had to stay until she was certain they were healed, and was unhappy when there were many visitors. Poppy would also make potions and ointments when needed. The Matron of Hogwats also possessed some disciplinary powers, being able to award and dock house points. In 1985, Madam Pomfrey gave Jacob's sibling twenty house points for helping her in the hospital wing.[2]

Hannah Abbott

Hannah Abbott applied for the job of Matron at Hogwarts in 2014 having trained as a healer. It is unknown whether she succeeded in obtaining the position.[1]

Mrs Cole was the matron at Wool's Orphanage in the 1930s. She was present when Tom Riddle received a visit from Albus Dumbledore in 1937, where she explained that Tom was unlike most children she knew. Althought she appeared caring, she was also very sharp in a way that could be thought as inconvenient.[3]
