Mary Riddle (1883-1943) was the mother of the late Tom Riddle Sr. and thus the paternal grandmother of Tom Marvolo Riddle. She was part of the wealthiest family in the village of Little Hangleton.
She, her husband Thomas Riddle, and their son Tom Riddle Sr. were killed in their mansion by the teenage Tom Marvolo Riddle in an act to avenge his mother Merope Gaunt. Tom Marvolo Riddle, aka Lord Voldemort, murdered them with the Killing Curse with the wand of his uncle, Morfin Gaunt. Morfin was framed for all three murders.
