Marta Fernandes is one of the translators of the Harry Potter series written by J. K. Rowling into Portuguese. She translated The Tales of Beedle the Bard, with the exception of The Tale of the Three Brothers (which was translated by Manuela Madureira).

Unlike the brazillian portuguese translation, the portuguese translation altered only a few terms, most of them specifically magic verbs (like Apparate or Splinched) and didn't convert the characters name into portuguese, even when they have its portuguese counterpart, such as Ronald (Ronaldo) or George (Jorge)
