Maria do Carmo Figueira (b. 3 April, 1955)[1] is one of the translators of the Harry Potter books written by J. K. Rowling into Portuguese. She was part of the team of translators who worked on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Maria do Carmo Figueira has worked as an invited assistant professor (professora auxiliar convidada) of Translation at the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies. She has also run several literary translation and subtitling workshops.[1]
