This saleswoman is the proprietor of Magical Menagerie, which is one of two major pet shops on Diagon Alley. She sold Ron Weasley Rat Tonic for Scabbers during the summer of 1993, and sold Crookshanks to Hermione Granger at that time as well.

Behind the scenes
- The gender of the salesperson of the Magical Menagerie is somewhat inconsistent. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the proprietor is said to be a woman. However, in the video game version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the salesperson appears to be a man who is balding with some white hair. He wears a purple robe and red apron, and is a fairly stingy individual.
