Magical Hieroglyphs and Logograms was a book which presumably described magical hieroglyphs (stylised pictures of an object representing a word, syllable, or sound) and logograms (signs or symbols that represented a word or phrase).[1][2]

History

Hermione Granger used this reference book over breakfast one morning, in conjunction with a pile of other books, to work on her Ancient Runes homework.[1] Later on, Hermione Granger carried her copy in her handbag during the hunt for Horcruxes.[2]
