The Magic is Might Monument was created when the Death Eaters took over the Ministry of Magic on August 1, 1997 to replace the Fountain of Magical Brethren. It is a statue of a Witch and a Wizard sitting on thrones made of naked Muggles. The phrase "Magic is Might" is inscribed at the bottom of the statue. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley saw the statue when they infiltrated the Ministry on September 2, 1997, and found it horrible.[1]
It was probably replaced by another statue after Lord Voldemort's death in May 1998 and the subsequent reform of the Ministry.
