Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions (sometimes simply referred to as Madam Malkin's) is a shop in Diagon Alley. Students get their Hogwarts school uniforms there, and wizards and witches can also purchase dress robes, travelling cloaks, and the like.
History
1991
The shop was first visited by Harry Potter in 1991 when Hagrid tells him to buy some robes and that he is incapable of entering the shop due to his size. During his visit to the shop, Harry met Draco Malfoy for the first time.
1992
During the Christmas holidays, Madam Malkin's was closed with a small notice on the door, which read "We are closed due to daylight robery - back at seven o'cloak". [1]
1996
In 1996, Harry and Malfoy meet again in the shop, and openly insult each other and almost start a fight. Moments after that, Draco refuses to lift up the sleeve of his dress robes so that Madam Malkin can hem it. This leads Harry to believe that Malfoy has been branded with the Dark Mark.
