The Limax is a legless creature, with four arms and the lower body of a serpent. It is taller than Humans, and it is capable of using man-made tools, so it is presumably a sentient Being. It is part of the third-year Care of Magical Creatures curriculum at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Thus, it was covered in The Monster Book of Monsters.^[1]
