"I am not going to get levitation sickness, am I?"
—A Ravenclaw student shortly before his first Charms lesson.[src]

Levitation sickness is a condition in which Levitation causes a disagreement between visually perceived movement and the vestibular system's sense of movement.

In the 1991-1992 school year, a Ravenclaw student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry expressed his worry of getting levitation sickness shortly before his first Charms class.[1] His fears were, however, unfounded: while there are ways to achieve human levitation (the Levicorpus charm, consumption of Billywig sting, or true unsupported flight), the Levitation Charm, which is part of the first-year curriculum, does not work on human beings.[2]
