The Levitation Charm

Levitation was the magical ability to make targeted objects fly.[1] It was described by Filius Flitwick, Charms Master at Hogwarts School, as one of a wizard's "most rudimentary skills".[2]

Spells used for levitation[]

"Essential Tip # 1: If you choose to have a meal at a table that has been levitated (as many beginning students do), it is wise to also levitate one's chair."
— Tips on casting the Levitation Spell, Cast-a-Spell handbook[3]

Objects could be made to levitate with the use of the Levitation Charm,[1][4] the Levitation Spell,[3] the Hover Charm,[5] the Flying charm,[6] the Locomotion Charm,[7] the Pack Charm,[7][8] the Floating Charm,[9] and the Rocket Charm,[9] as well as Levicorpus,[10][11] Mobiliarbus,[12] and Mobilicorpus.[13]
