Lestrange (born c. 1926) was a member of Tom Marvolo Riddle's gang when they attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and one of the first Death Eaters. It is most likely that Avery fought in the First and the Second Wizarding War, although it is possible that he was desceaced before the events of the Second Wizarding War, but, if he did not, he was presumably killed or imprisoned in Azkaban after Voldemort's final defeat. Avery was most likely a member of Slytherin house and the Slug Club.

[edit] Early Life
Lestrange graduated at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was possibly a member of Slytherin house and a member of the Slug Club. He was also a member of Tom Marvolo Riddle's gang when they were classmates. During his time at school, Lestrange forgot to turn in a Potions essay for Professor Slughorn and was nearly put in detention. After Hogwarts, Lestrange became one of Voldemort's first Death Eaters.

Lestrange probably fought in the Second Wizarding War along with many other Death Eaters, and he is presumed to be the father of Rodolphus and Rabastan Lestrange. After Voldemort's first downfall, Lestrange was presumably killed or imprisoned or defected. It is most likely that he didn't search for Voldemort after his downfall.

It is unknown if Lestrange was still alive during the Second Wizarding War. It is possible that he was desceased before the start of the war, but, if he did not, it is possible that he fought in several battles, including the Battle of Hogwarts.

After Voldemort's final defeat, Lestrange was presumably killed or imprisoned in Azkaban.

- It is possible that Lestrange was deceased before the Second Wizarding War, but this has not been confirmed. If he survived, he would have been around seventy years old when Voldemort returned to power.
