Leslie Phillips provided the voice for the Sorting Hat in the film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Career
Leslie Samuel Phillips OBE, was born on 20 April, 1924 in Tottenham, London, England. He attended the Italia Conti School and received elocution lessons to lose his cockney accent (at the time most British actors spoke with a polished British accent) He has appeared in countless films and television shows including: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Longest Day and Doctor in Trouble.
