Leslie Phillips provided the voice for the Sorting Hat in the film adaptions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Leslie Samuel Phillips OBE, was born on the 20th of April 1924 in Tottenham, London, England. He attended the Italia Conti School and received elocution lessons to lose his cockney accent (at the time most British actors spoke with a polished British accent) He has appeared in countless films and television shows including: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Longest Day and Doctor in Trouble.
