There exists a law regarding the ownership of charmed Muggle objects, containing a loophole that allows such objects to be owned so long as they are not intended to be used. This law was drafted by Arthur Weasley of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office, who intentionally wrote in this loophole so that he could legally continue to charm Muggle artefacts in his spare time.[1]
