Mrs Brown was a pure-blood witch, wife of Mr Brown and mother of Lavender. In 1993, she and her husband sent a letter to Lavender, informing her that her pet rabbit Binky had been killed by a fox.
Prior to that school year, either Mrs Brown or her husband signed a Hogsmeade permission form for Lavender[2].
On May 2, 1998, her daughter died during the Battle of Hogwarts when she was attacked by Fenrir Greyback.
