- "Lapifors, the transformation of a small object into a rabbit"
- — Hermione Granger[src]
The Lapifors Spell[2] (Lapifors[1][2]) is a transfiguration spell that can be used to transform the target into a rabbit[1]; it works best on smaller artefacts such as statues, salamanders[1] and cats[2]. It may also work on humans but it has never been tested.
History
This charm is learned in the third year Transfiguration class at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, taught by Professor Minerva McGonagall[2]. She set up an obstacle course to be completed using this and the Draconifors Spell, and one of the questions in the final exam in June of 1994 concerned this spell[2].
Effects
Once performed, the caster has the ability to control the rabbit in question, directing its movements in a similar manner to the Piertotum Locomotor spell[2].
Practitioners
- Hermione Granger[2]
- Minerva McGonagall[2]
- Harry Potter[3]
- Ronald Weasley[3]
- Third Year Hogwarts Students.
