- —Hermione Granger[src]
Lapifors is a Transfiguration spell which turns small objects into rabbits, including rabbit statues, salamanders and cats.
Etymology
The prefix "Lapi-" from Latin lepus meaning "hare", and the suffix -fors (often used in transfiguration spells) is Latin for "chance, luck, fortune", though it may also come from forma (or simply English form) meaning form.
