LEGO Creator: Harry Potter is a video game for Windows 98 and later, released in 2001. It is the Harry Potter edition of LEGO: Creator, a video game franchise introduced in 1998. Originally, this was the only game to exist alongside the actual LEGO Harry Potter sets. A sequel was later made entitled LEGO Creator: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
A demo was available on the DVD-ROM of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Gameplay
Lego Creator: Harry Potter is an open-ended creation game. You can explore four different “worlds”: Diagon Alley, King's Cross Station, Hogwarts grounds, and the inside of Hogwarts. There are also many mini-worlds, such as Hagrid's Hut, the Gryffendor Common Room, and the Third Floor Corridor. In each of these worlds you can use Lego models and minifigures to customize the worlds however you like. These models are all based on the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Lego sets. You can build your own models and characters. In addition to building, you can control characters, cast spells, and change the weather. There are different challenges you can do as well. Upon completion of each challenge, the game will sometimes show a cutscene, and unlock a new spell for you to use. There is a narrator character to guide and help you through the game.
