Kathryn Hunter is an award-winning English actress and theatre director who portrayed Arabella Figg in the 2007 film adaptation of the J. K. Rowling novel by the same name Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Hunter was born born Aikaterini Hadjipateras in 1956 to Greek parents in New York but spent her childhood living in the UK. She trained at RADA where she is now an associate, and often directs student productions. She now lives in London with her husband.
