Julie Walters

Julia Mary Walters (born February 22,1950) is a British actress, married to Grant Roffey (1997-Present.) Julia a.k.a Julie has had one daughter with Grant called Maisie(born 1990).

She was ranked first in the 2001 Orange Film Survey of Greatest British Films actresses.

Also appointed an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to drama on 2 December 1999.

For her theatre work she was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2001 (2001 season) for Best Actress for her performance in All My Sons at the Royal National Theatre, Cottesloe.

She first came to international fame in the early 1980s in the title role of the stage and film versions of Educating Rita,earning her first Oscar nomination for the film (her second was for Billy Elliot) as well as the Golden Globe Award,and London stage awards for the play.Her subsequent roles include the brothel owner in Personal Services.

Julie Walters plays Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter films.
