Jorkins was the surname of a wizarding family. As Bertha Jorkins had relatives living in Albania,[1] it is possible that the family had roots in that region, or that members of the family moved there from Britain.

Joseph Jorkens is the central character in a series of short stories written by Lord Dunsany. Mr Jorkins is a lawyer in the novel David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.
