John Granger is an American author and lecturer known for his profound analysis on famous series of narratives, particularly the Harry Potter franchise by J. K. Rowling. Between 2002 and 2009, he wrote seven books discussing several references, imagery and symbolism he claimed to have been observing on Rowling's saga. He believes the books are much more connected to Christianity than to magic or witchcraft as it appears at first sight. He was also fascinated with alchemic and classical references when his daughter first gave him a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He owns a blog named Hogwarts Professor.
