Jiggery Pokery and Hocus Pocus was a book written by Brian Gagwilde. It was published by Luca Books.[2] A copy was seen on the floor in a room in Hogwarts, near the one-eyed witch statue.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- This book was featured for the first time in canon in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and then in the the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where it was called "Pokery & Hocus Pocus". Pottermore, however, later gave its name as "Jiggery Pokery and Hocus Pocus".
- Harry Potter taunted his Muggle cousin Dudley Dursley with shouts of "Jiggery Pokery" and "Hocus Pocus" in the summer of 1992 while at Number Four, Privet Drive.
