Jessica Hynes (née Stevenson) (born 15 November 1972) is a British actress who voiced Mafalda Hopkirk in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Hynes is best known for her role as Daisy in Spaced. [1]
Behind the scenes
- Has three children: a son, born 1998; a daughter, born 2003; and a second daughter, Flora, born 2006.
- She was nominated for a 2003 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role of 2002 for her performance in The Night Heron performed at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs.
- Auditioned for, and was accepted into the prestigious National Youth Theatre at the age of 15.
- In 2007 she changed her stage name to her married name Jessica Hynes, some years after getting married.
- She was nominated on 2009 Broadway Theater Fans' Choice awards under the category "Best Featured Actress in a Play" for her work in The Norman Conquests.
