Jamie Wolpert was a Muggle journalist who, in the summer of 1996, wrote the front-page article about the collapse of the Millennium Bridge for The Guardian.[2]

- This character was named after Jamie Wolpert, who worked behind-the-scenes as an assistant to David Yates on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and as a book consultant on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Part 2. He also had a cameo as a Daily Prophet newspaper vendor at the Ministry of Magic in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.[3]
