Biography
Early Life
James Runcie (born 1959) is the son of Robert Runcie, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, and Rosalind Runcie.[1] He was educated at the Dragon School in Oxford,[2] Marlborough College, and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
Career
James Runcie has produced programmes for the BBC, working in the Arts and Music department. He has produced documentaries such as J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life for ITV, My Father (on his father Robert Runcie), and a six-part series How Buildings Learn.
His novels include Canvey Island, The Discovery of Chocolate, and The Colour of Heaven.
Personal Life
Runcie married Marilyn Elsie Imrie in 1985. They have one daughter together, Charlotte, born in 1989, and James is also stepfather to Marilyn's daughter, Rosie Kellagher, born in 1978. They live in Edinburgh,Scotland.
