- "As someone who respects comprehensive research, I am in awe of the level of detail and amount of time Philip Errington has dedicated to this slavishly through and somewhat mind-boggling bibliography. Even in my most deluded moments, I could never have anticipated that an idea that occurred to me on a train to Manchester could have spawned this amount of verbiage and prose in every language under the sun. I am humbled and deeply flattered."
- —J. K. Rowling's introduction to the book.
J.K. Rowling: A Bibliography 1997-2013 is a book written by Philip W. Errington, the Director for Children's Books at Sotheby's, and published by Bloomsbury. The book published on 26 February 2015 in the UK, and is set to be released in the USA on 23 April 2015. It is a definitive bibliography of every book and manuscript published by J. K. Rowling, including the Harry Potter series, with the stated aim of recording fact and dispelling rumours about the publication history of Harry Potter.
In addition to documenting Rowling's body of work, J.K. Rowling: A Bibliography contains information on Rowling's presence at auctions and scholarly reviews of Rowling's publications. Bloomsbury purports the book to be "the first source on Rowling consulted by textual scholars, book collectors, auction houses, critics and researchers".
