An International Task Force is a special response team employed by the International Confederation of Wizards in situations where a large number of incidents which are so obviously magical in nature that the wizarding governing body of said countries have a hard time sufficiently enforcing the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy without help. In such situations, the Confederation assemble such a group to deal with the issue, which are then dispatched to the country in question until such time that secrecy is no longer compromised. One such task force are known to be permanently stationed in the mountains of Tibet in response to repeated breaches of Clause 73 of the law in questions due to the numerous sightings of Yetis by Muggles.
It can presumed that they work independently from the magical government, assisting their efforts to conceal the wizarding world in a very one-sided manner and remain at their post at all times in order to carry out the duties entrusted to them.
