The Indian Ministry of Magic (Hindi: भारतीय जादू का मंत्रालय) was the governing body of the Wizarding world in India.
History[]
Like other Asian Ministries, they viewed the game of Quidditch with suspicion, since they had a flourishing trade in flying carpets, and the broomstick was a rarity in the East.[1]
One known law upheld by the Indian Ministry was the prohibition of using the Snake Summons Spell by wizards known as Snake Charmers, who used it to profit from Muggles. This was presumably because of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy.[2]
