Ilvermorny was a wizarding educational institute located in the United States of America, in someplace other than New York.[1] Students of this school, like at Hogwarts in Scotland, were sorted into Houses when they arrived.[2]
Indigenous magic was extremely important in the founding of the school.[3] When Newton Scamander travelled to New York in the 1920s, he met some people who had received their education in this school.[1]
