Extinct/Mythical (possibly)[1]

The Hydra is a serpent-like beast with nine heads. The Hydra's nine heads are used to symbolise the number nine in the runic alphabet. [2]

Behind the scenes

Notes and references

  1. As they aren't mentioned in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (real), it is likely they are quite rare or are extinct. Alternatively, the Hydra may be a mythical creature.
