This spell was used to transform a human target into a pig. It
produced a flash of violet light when cast.[1]
In 1991, Rubeus Hagrid attempted to cast this spell on Dudley Dursley, but it did not work as intended, only giving Dudley a curly tail that poked through his trousers.
