Hugo is a male Neapolitan Mastiff who played Rubeus Hagrid's dog, Fang, in the film adaptations of Philosopher's Stone,^[1] Chamber of Secrets,^[1] and Prisoner of Azkaban. He was followed in this role by Monkey, in Order of the Phoenix, and Uno, in Half-Blood Prince.

The one thing that Hugo's trainer, Gary Gero, couldn't teach him was not to drool.^[1] In 2003, Hugo appeared on the British television show This Morning, and unintentionally spat into the mouth of presenter Fern Britton.^[2]
