- "Instant scalping… but dragons had no hair… pepper breath… that would probably increase a dragon's firepower… horn tongue… just what he needed, to give it an extra weapon […] "
- — Harry Potter while scanning the contents of the book[src]
The Horn tongue hex (incantation unknown) was a spell that turned the target's tongue into a horn.
History
Harry Potter came across it while perusing the index of Basic Hexes for the Busy and Vexed in search of a way to overcome the dragon he knew he would have to face in the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament. He quickly ruled it out, however, realising it would only give the dragon yet another way to attack him.[1]
