- "But I want Professor Merrythought's old office, not the water closet I had before!"
- — Horace Slughorn[src]
The office used by Horace Slughorn during his first job as Potions master at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was a particularly cramped room in which he held some Slug Club dinner parties in.
Slughorn asked Albus Dumbledore if he could have a new office, because his first was not good.
Behind the scenes
- This office was only mentioned as being small in size in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, where Slughorn compares it to a water closet. Although, in the novel, it does make a brief appearance in Pensieve memories.
