A honking daffodil is a magical flower that presumably resembles an ordinary daffodil except for the noise that it makes. Pomona Sprout grew some in the Hogwarts greenhouses, but Lavender Brown disliked them, preferring to give regular daffodils as a going away present to Sybill Trelawney instead.

Honking daffodils were mentioned by Tilden Toots on his radio programme Toots, Shoots 'n' Roots. He promised to tell listeners in an upcoming episode what to do if Muggles heard these noisy flowers in their gardens.[1]
