- "Malfoy was already packing up, sour-faced; Slughorn had pronounced his Hiccoughing Solution merely 'passable'."
- — Description.[src]
The Hiccoughing Solution was a potion that presumably caused hiccoughs.
History
Draco Malfoy brewed some when Horace Slughorn asked his sixth year Potions students to make something "amusing," but Slughorn was unimpressed with Draco's work, declaring it only "passable."[1]
The Hogwarts Apothecary Department carried Hiccoughing Solution.
Behind the scenes
- The counter-charm for hiccoughs may be the reverse of this potion.
- The Making of Harry Potter misspells this potion as the "Hiccuping" Potion.
