- "Moody had given them such a rigorous test of hex-deflection that many of them were nursing small injuries. Harry had such a bad case of Twitchy Ears, he had to hold his hands clamped over them as he walked away from the class."
- —Description.[src]
Hex-deflection is the practise of deflecting hexes, such as the Twitchy Ears Hex. Hex-deflection is part of the fourth year Defence Against the Dark Arts curriculum at Hogwarts.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
- It is highly likely that Salvio Hexia is a form of a hex-deflection, as Salvio Hexia means almost literally "farewell hexes," but it remains uncertain if this was the spell that Moody taught.
