|Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley's letters to Harry Potter|
|Date of writing||
Summer of 1995
Ron and Hermione explain that they are not allowed to tell Harry any details.
These letters were written by Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley during the summer of 1995 to their best friend, Harry Potter. Under orders from Albus Dumbledore, however, they were not allowed to tell Harry any news of Voldemort, which greatly frustrated Harry.
It is unknown what the full content of any letter read. Harry mentioned that a few said the following.
We can't say much about you-know-what, obviously…
We've been told not to say anything important in case our letters go astray…
We're quite busy but I can't give you details here…
There's a fair amount going on, we'll tell you everything when we see you…
