Location information
Location

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

The Hogwarts greenhouses are where Herbology classes were taught by Professor Sprout at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. During the 1996–1997 school year, the greenhouses were also used by the Potions Club.

The greenhouses have statues of long, serpentine dragons running along the peaked roofs. They are home to many exotic and magical plants including some that are extremely rare, difficult to cultivate and maintain, or even dangerous, such as the Venomous Tentacula.

Greenhouse oneEdit

Main article: Greenhouse Four

Another greenhouse where some advanced Herbology lessons are taught.

Greenhouse fiveEdit

Main article: Greenhouse Five

Another greenhouse where some advanced Herbology lessons are taught.

Greenhouse sixEdit

Main article: Greenhouse Six

Another greenhouse where some advanced Herbology lessons are taught.

Greenhouse sevenEdit

Main article: Greenhouse Seven

Another greenhouse where some advanced Herbology lessons are taught.

Herbology Professor's officeEdit

Used by Pomona Sprout to work and presumably sleep during her stay at Hogwarts.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • In the books and video game adaptations of books 1-4, the Herbology Greenhouses are located across the Hogwarts grounds from the castle. In the films and later video games, they are nestled in an open-roofed wing of the castle. The pavilion is still accessed from a door to the grounds, although there is also a door in one of the greenhouses that leads to the Charms corridor.
  • A Greenhouse 2 is featured in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4.
